Chris is an Advanced Level Event rider and Certified USEA ICP Level II instructor with outstanding talent to develop horses into enthusiastic, enjoyable winners. His students are consistently successful and competitive from Beginner Novice up through Intermediate. What sets Chris apart from many upper level riders and trainers is his focus on developing a true partnership between every horse and rider. His attention to perfect practice and focus on the fundamentals assures that each horse and rider arrives at their destination with a thorough education. Chris takes great pride in producing correct riders and safe, sound and happy horses.

Throughout his eventing career, Chris has worked, trained and cliniced with some of the top riders, trainers and coaches in the sport of Three Day Eventing and Dressage including Captain Mark Phillips, Bruce Davidson, Leslie Law, Phillip Dutton, Jan Byyny, Robert Costello, Mara Dean, Jessica Ransehousen, Ralph Hill, and Peter Gray. Chris started his career working with international rider and coach, Michael Godfrey and had the opportunity to compete and train on some of Michael's top horses, Glendevlin, Diesel, Broomfield Warning, Allstate - all Advanced level horses during their peak.

Having trained multiple horses to the Intermediate and Advanced levels, Chris understands what it takes to create and develop a willing and educated partner. In both his teaching and training, Chris emphasizes the systematic development of the horse's body and mind while teaching the skills and techniques needed to progress. With his focus on the fundamentals Chris leaves no holes in the training of his students or horses. His record and the records of his students' speak for themselves with multiple wins at all levels. More important to Chris than ribbons though, is the development of intelligent, well-rounded, ethical horsemen with strong foundations mounted atop happy, healthy and willing partners.
