Paladin "Smoke" 1998, 16.1h, Grey, TB Gelding Chris is indebted to Denny and May Emerson of Tamarack Hill for the opportunity to take the reins on their homebred Paladin, aka Smoke. Smoke came to Chris from Denny in the winter of 2006 as a supremely talented athlete in need of careful guidance and development to reach his potential. Smoke is by Loyal Pal, a popular stallion of Denny's and was tremendously athletic, but also full of "personality." Denny trusted that Chris's sympathetic but firm style could tap into Smoke's talent. Having completed only two Novices with his previous riders, Smoke made rapid progress, quickly moving up to Preliminary in 2006. In 2008, Smoke successfully moved up to intermediate and will be aiming for a CCI** in Spring of '09 before heading on to the Advanced Level.
Previous Horses
	Airborne Express "Simon" owned by Joy Beaston 1998, 16.2h Bay TB Gelding Joy and Simon came to Chris several years ago trying to "figure each other out" and they did! They won their last show together at training level and now Joy would like to see how far Simon will go. In just two Preliminary competitions in the fall of 2007 Chris and Simon have placed 2nd and 4th. Simon has returned to his owner to enjoy!
Buck Naked II "Buck" 1997, 16.3h Bay TB Gelding Chris purchased Buck off the track as a 4yr old project and together they made their way to the Advanced level and ** level.  Buck has been sold to one of Chris’ longtime students and is enjoying a more leisurely lifestyle competing at preliminary with his new owner.
